Have you or your kid ever gotten impetigo?
When growing up, I remember my sister would get it a lot. This was mostly due to her scratching the daylights out of her mosquito bites. Here recently my daughter got a small case as well. So here I am, now as an adult, trying to battle this skin infection again. Luckily, my daughters case was minor.
Impetigo, in case you are unaware, is a skin infection that presents in red bumps, yellow crusty scabs, and is quite contagious.

I do recommend having the infected person seen by a doctor, especially if the infection appears to be spreading. However, to aid in the comfort of our loved ones there are some natural remedies to help ease their suffering.
Aloe Vera's moisturizing qualities can be used to combat the dry itchiness. Gently apply fresh aloe to the affected area and allow it to dry on the skin.

Raw honey can be applied to the areas in order to relieve the itch and aid in healing. Honeys natural disinfecting properties will keep the area clean and help prevent spreading. Apply honey and allow to sit on the area for 20 minutes. Then rinse with warm water to remove the sticky.
Chamomile tea can be used as a rinse and is a great way to reduce the inflammation and severity. You may also apply a brewed chamomile tea bag to the skin for a small spot.
